The city of Changchun had 157 mobile phones for every one hundred people in the city at the end of 2005, Changchun Daily reports.
According to Changchun Economic Research Office, fix-line phone penetration hit 93 percent in Changchun in 2005, up 21.7 percent year on year, while PC penetration in the city hit 42 percent in 2005, up 28.6 percent year on year. In Changchun, the average amount spent on communication services (including postal services) in 2005 was 475.8 Yuan, up 9.6 percent year on year. The average Changchun resident spent 401.2 Yuan on telecom services in 2005, up 4.4 percent year on year.
